INTRODUCTION
Why I Am Running for Kansas House District 76
There comes a point in life when service becomes more than a profession — it becomes a responsibility.
For most of my life, I have had the honor of serving others in different ways: as a military veteran, a former deputy sheriff, an ordained minister, and a nurse with more than 35 years in healthcare. Those experiences taught me lessons about leadership, sacrifice, faith, discipline, and the importance of standing beside people during both the best and hardest moments of their lives.
Over the years, I have seen Kansas families struggle with rising healthcare costs, economic uncertainty, challenges facing rural communities, and a growing frustration with politics that often seem disconnected from everyday people. I have watched small towns fight to survive, rural healthcare systems become stretched thin, and hardworking Kansans feel like their voices are no longer being heard.
That is one of the reasons I decided to run for the Kansas House of Representatives District 76.
I believe Kansas deserves leadership grounded in integrity, accountability, faith, constitutional freedoms, and common sense. I believe the government should work for the people, not political agendas. Most importantly, I believe leadership is about service, not power.
The values that shaped my life were built through faith, military service, law enforcement, healthcare, ministry, and lifelong learning. My involvement in martial arts also taught me the importance of discipline, respect, perseverance, and self-control — values I believe are greatly needed in leadership today.
This campaign is not about political ambition. It is about giving rural Kansas a stronger voice and standing up for the people, communities, and values that make our state strong.
As part of my commitment to service, I have pledged to donate any legislative salary earned while serving in office to healthcare initiatives benefiting Kansans through the Kansas Health Foundation. I want the people of Kansas to know that I am running because I believe in serving others, not serving myself.
Over the coming months, I look forward to meeting with people across District 76, listening to your concerns, learning from your experiences, and discussing the future we want to build together for our families and communities.
I would be honored to earn your trust, your support, and your vote.
Service Before Politics.
